WHAT IS HDPE?
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a thermoplastic polymer made from multiple units of ethylene.
It is obtained through the process of addition. HDPE molecules present very little ramification and have high molecular density, resulting in a material that is extremely tough and resistant. It is also very resistant to high temperatures. This is the main difference between high-density and low-density polyethylene.
Order HDPE is a colourless and almost opaque material. It is easy to paint, print onto and attach adhesives to HDPE, which makes it highly customisable.
It is very resistant to impacts and high temperatures, has a high tensile strength, and is also resistant to acids and solvents.
